This data was taken from a 1995 Chamber of Commerce Map with Sheriff Zones drawn with Magic Markers.
The above map was used in E911 dispatching to help determine what Sheriff Zones E911 calls were coming from.
The original data was digitized on Sept. 01, 2000 and altered to reflect the new annexations of the City of Clarksville and an error between two adjacent zones.

This was a rough Capture done by Don Dehm of the Sheriff Zones of Montgomery County. No controlling parameters were used in the capture of this information. A ~1:158,400 source map was used. A screen resolution of ~ 1:24,000 was used displaying ~8ft accurate planimetric information. This information being street center-line, hydro line and polygon layers. This data was used at the compilers chosen scale. Heads-up digitizing from map observations were used to capture Sheriff Zones.

All Sheriff Zones were verified by viewing the County Commerce Map and matching features to the State Delivered Street Center Line and Hydro layer. This planimetric data was digitized form the march 1997 Ortho-Photo collection. The combination of the scale of source map, the thick magic marker lines and the in-experience of the digitizer lead to a thematic representation of accuracy. Predicted at ~1000 feet.

This map was compared to in-house more accurate data. Sheriff Zones were then brought over to digitial form. The data was not cleaned for polygon border agreement nor Quality Controlled for correctness.
