<procdesc>This was a rough Capture done by Don Dehm of the Ambulance Zones of Montgomery County. No controlling parameters were used in the capture of this information. A ~1:158,400 source map was used. A screen resolution of ~ 1:24,000 was used displaying ~8ft accurate planimetric information. This information being street center-line, hydro line and polygon layers. This data was used at the compilers chosen scale. Heads-up digitizing from map observations were used to capture Ambulance Zones. The shapefile was editied in August 2000 under similar conditions and re-edited again in March 2003.</procdesc>

The zoning data was edited in August 2000 using similar methods to relocate the official zone boundaries.</logic>
<complete>The polygon boundaries were based on thick magic marker lines drawn on a 1995 Chamber of Commerce street/community Map. The scale of this map was ~1:158,400. This map was compared to in-house more accurate data. Ambulance Zones were then brought over to digitial form. The data was not cleaned for polygon border agreement nor Quality Controlled for correctness. The update used personnel from emergency services to identify "exact" limits for zones. Each zone was then snapped to another feature to minimize sliver polygon features.</complete>
